When running a Real Estate Business, it is easy to let overheads get away from you in many different areas. There is always something new and shiny that catches your eye that is $50/month or $99 a month. Then there are different roles that you want to create, but to do this it is not just $99 a month, it will start from $5000 a month nearly as a minimum. So, what we are going to talk about today is finding the best global value in the area of talent.

I had discovered offshore staff quite a while back and have had various different experiences using different talents. Before I get into that I would like to talk about what cemented the idea “GLOBAL VALUE.”  When I went on Mike’s Business Tour back in 2013, it was really the first time I gave it some heavy thought. I was already looking at the Offshoring, but in between Mike’s Long rants, I heard him say “The Future of business is about finding the BEST GLOBAL VALUE.” This made me really think “YES” why on earth do I just have to look in my back yard for staff.

Here are some of my short thoughts on the topic.

Outsourcing to the Philippines is a clear number one for customer support and back office. The reason why is fairly simple.

  • Everyone speaks English
  • They are the most westernised country in Asia
  • Process-driven and hardworking
  • Time zone fits very well for Australia and New Zealand

For other things, I would have to say the talent in the Philippines is still in the top 3 countries for most tasks. I did not think I would discover such a range of talent when I was on the tour, however, it really was and is in abundance.

Here is some other talent you should explore in the Philippines

  • Accounting
  • Graphic Design
  • Architecture
  • Drafting
  • Web development
  • SEO
  • Social Media marketing

I have tried outsourcing in many countries, however, I have always had my core team located in the Philippines.  However, I have had some interesting experiences using different countries.

Here are 3 countries that I think will be more prominent in the future and maybe give the Philippines a run for their money in different areas.

Outsourcing to South Africa | I have had some great experiences hiring South Africans over the years. The cost is quite low, and the quality is very good. Our Ops Manager for my Real Estate Business was out of South Africa.

Outsourcing to Vietnam | The Vietnamese are extremely talented. They are super hard working; however, the communication can be a bit of a letdown. I have revisited this recently, as it has been years since I have used talent from there and I must say it has improved. This country is one to keep an eye on for the future.

Outsourcing to India | The Philippines stole the title from India for customer service and back-office, however, if you want tech, there is still no better in my mind. They really are freaks in what they can do.  Just keep in mind the way they do business is very backward and frustrating at the best of times.

The main point I would like to get across in this article is to take your blinkers off and think GLOBAL for talent. If you do want to discuss this in more detail, I am just a click away. Feel free to drop me a message and we can catch up. If you have received some value out of this article, please share it. Thanks, have a great day, and stay safe.
